This Ariana Grande's Music Video called 'Side to side' featuring Nicki Minaj. I chose this music video due to it being a Performance Music Video. It portrays Ariana's new identity and her new brand which strays significantly from the Disney reputation she once possessed. It also shows a message of women being in power; men surrounding the two women wearing nothing but underwear. It opposes the opposite message of what men would include within their own music video; women surrounding them and being portrayed as a trophy. Lip Syncing is used within the video, along with breaking the fourth wall by making eye-contact with the audience/camera and the use of close-up shots. The video also cuts to the beat of the song. The use of colour within the video also gives a sense of Ariana being 'Grown up' due to the choice of costume and colour; bright barbie pink.
